16th Annual Career Connections – February 2 – February 3, 2021

Corbett Center Student Union, Third Floor – Ballrooms

Two-day career fair coordinated by the Office of Experiential Learning and co-sponsored by the College of Engineering on February 5.

February 2: the focus of the event will be on majors in the colleges of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, Arts and Sciences, Business, Education (non-teaching), and Health and Social Services.

February 3: the focus will be on majors in Computer Science, Engineering, Life/Physical Sciences, Mathematics, and Technology, but other majors are encouraged to attend.

New Mexico State University is a comprehensive land-grant institution of higher learning, dedicated to teaching, research, and service at the undergraduate and graduate levels. NMSU is a NASA Space Grant College, a Hispanic-serving institution, and is home to the very first Honors College in New Mexico. U.S. News and World Report rank NMSU in the top tier among Best National Universities. Employers attending this career fair will be interacting with quality candidates who would like to learn more about their career field or obtain a position as an intern, co-op, summer, or regular employee. NMSU offers 90 bachelor and 50 graduate programs. Though each day focuses on specific career fields, employers and candidates are encouraged to attend both days to maximize their networking opportunities.

Career Connections is free for candidates and is open to NMSU students, alumni, and community members.

Sunday, January 31, 2021

  • Travel to Las Cruces,NM.
  • Check-in at hotel.

Monday, February 1, 2021

  • Travel to Las Cruces; check-in at hotel.
  • Morning/Afternoon or any available time during the week: Visit relevant classrooms and faculty, tour the campus, etc. (Contact our Coordinator for Employer Relations at employer@nmsu.edu, or (575) 646-1631 if you would like contact information or suggestions.)
  • Lunch with faculty. (The Career Services office is available to help coordinate or provide contact information for lunch arrangements during the week.)
  • Afternoon: Visit with faculty or staff. (Contact our Coordinator for Employer Relations at employer@nmsu.edu or (575) 646-1631 if you would like contact information or suggestions.)

    • 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM: Lunch – Dona Ana Room. Staggered lunch allows representatives to take turns eating and staffing booth(s).
    • 2:00 PM: Fair closes. An event evaluation will be emailed to you after the event. If you have shipments that need to be picked up by a carrier, please contact your carrier to make arrangements to pick up your shipments. All shipments should be picked up by 4:00 PM.
