46th Annual Educators’ Job Fair, April 20, 2020 **CANCELLED**

Corbett Center, 3rd Floor Ballrooms

1:00 PM – 6:00 PM


The Educators’ Job Fair (EJF) is open to new professionals in education, all experienced teachers and school administrators, principals, school counselors, nurses, social workers, as well as students seeking employment in a school setting with alternative licensure. Candidates in non-teaching majors are invited to discuss school districts’ respective licensure programs, career options, and employment opportunities. History has shown that the majority of the candidates will be from New Mexico State University, Western New Mexico University, and other regional universities as well as the community. However, a growing number of candidates from across the nation are utilizing this event to find challenging positions.

Event Format

  • Candidates bring their resumes to meet with the district representatives at their respective tables (map will be provided once it is available).
  • Interviews will be conducted at the discretion of the district representatives.
  • Interview booths will be available for district representatives to conduct interviews between 10:00 – 6:00 pm during the event.

  • Registration for school districts begins.
  • Attend a resume workshop to learn about resume writing techniques.
  • Schedule a personal appointment for a resume review.
  • Contact state certification offices to determine licensure requirements.
  • Review school districts’ web pages to learn about philosophy and expectations.
  • Review the EJF website for employer updates

January 2020 – April 2020

  • Attend resume workshop or schedule private appointments to learn about resume writing techniques.
  • Contact state certification offices to determine licensure requirements.
  • Review school districts’ web pages to learn about philosophy and expectations.
  • Review EJF website and our AggieCAREER Manager account regularly for school district updates

April 20,  2020

  • Check-In begins:  11:00 am
  • Employer Booths open: 1:00 pm

Employers will meet with candidates from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm (note: each employer maintains their own schedule and may not remain during the entire scheduled time frame)

College of Education administration will be on hand to present information on NMSU’s Teacher Education Program.

Event Hours 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Candidates will be able to discuss employment opportunities with district representatives and be considered for a formal interview.

Interview space will be available throughout the event.
